چکیده
Biomedical telemetry has gained a lot of attention with the development in healthcare industry. This technology made it feasible to monitor physiological signs patient remotely without traditional hospital appointments and follow up routine check-ups. Implantable Medical Devices (IMDs) play an important role patients through wireless telemetry. IMDs consist nodes implantable sensors which antenna is major component. The suffer limitations. Various factors need be considered for such as miniaturization, safety, bio-compatibility, low power consumption, lower frequency band operation dual-band have robust continuous operation. selection challenging task sensor design dictates performance whole implant. In this paper critical review on antennas biomedical applications presented.

Implantable antenna technology is a current trend in biomedical applications. Implantation is being used in Biotelemetry and Biomedical therapy. The trend of implantation started in 1960’s with implantable pace makers and is emerging with improving the size and efficiency of implantable devices. Biomedical applications cover Biotelemetry and Biomedical therapy. Realization of implantable antenn...
متن کاملWearable Antennas for Medical Applications
Microstrip antennas are widely employed in communication system and seekers. Microstrip antennas posse's attractive features such as low profile, flexible, light weight, small volume and low production cost. In addition, the benefit of a compact low cost feed network is attained by integrating the RF frontend with the radiating elements on the same substrate. Microstrip antennas are widely pres...
متن کاملFlexible electronics for bio-signal monitoring in implantable applications
This paper presents flexible electronics with a bio-compatible material interface for bio-signal monitoring applications. Organic thin-film transistors (TFT) are integrated with the bio-compatible gel interface in a 1.2-μm-thick film substrate. An electrocardiogram (ECG) of a rat is amplified by an organic TFT amplifier circuit that is mounted directly on the surface of the heart. In addition t...
